Back Home – Jo got back home last Saturday and I have been soaking in every second since then!! I can’t believe we were separated a whole month. It’s the longest we’ve been apart since getting married last year. It was so weird – I actually started to get butterflies as I was driving to the airport to pick him up. Because of this experience, I’m going to hold onto him a little longer, tell him how much I love him more often than usual, and linger in the moments where we’re doing nothing but being together.
San Francisco + Berkeley Trip – This week my husband was invited to speak at UC Berkeley for the business fraternity he was in during college. I was a proud wife hearing him address the potential fraternity members and sharing the vision behind the community. It was a memorable night being back on campus and also meeting a bunch of his “littles” from his fraternity family line. We also spent a few days visiting some old friends in San Francisco!
Happy Anniversary! – My parents celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary this past week! I am incredibly blessed to have parents that I can look up to for wisdom and guidance, but also parents that I can call my best of friends. Their marriage has become an example to me and James and it’s beautiful to see how they’ve built such a strong family by always putting God first. Loved celebrating them!
Homemade Peach Crumble – When it’s summer, you know it’s peach season and I am all for that! I loveeee peaches. I think peaches are an underrated fruit. They’re great grilled, baked, and tossed in a salad for a little sweetness. I had a bunch of peaches that were ripe and ready to be eaten so I decided to make a peach crumble. Since it’s being me, my goal was to make it vegan, refined-sugar free, and delicious. And Jo said I nailed it! Baloo’s First Birthday – I still can’t believe my baby bear turned one this week! Baloo is the sweetest, happiest pup we know. He reminds us to find joy, laugh a lot, and love hard everyday. In honor of his birthday, I took a trip down memory lane with some of Baloo’s ‘firsts’ in this post. Beware: seeing how teeny tiny he was might give you the case of the ‘awww’s.’ And make sure to read til the end of the post to see how to make my easy, delicious, grain-free dog birthday cake! 🎂✨
