As far as lipstick goes, we’re big neutral and pink fans — when a new nude or mauve comes out, we are all over that! — we have a few go to’s we’ll never get tired of, but we also wanted to try a few we’ve had our eye on.
To show you what it looks like on, we put our modeling skills to the test and swatched every single color. Our lips became super chapped afterwards, but worth it in an effort to also make you a neutral believer! A few made the cut, but others were a pass. We marked our favs for you and hope you find a new Fall lip color to fall in love with! 😉
This is what I call the perfect ‘berry kissed’ lips. The color is not necessarily pink, but it’s not mauve either. It’s deeper in color and such a great staple for the Fall.
Dose Mocha $17
I love this color when I want a subtle pink in my nude color. It’s the perfect ‘mauve’ for an olive skin tone. This color is very pigmented so I actually dab a few dots of the product on my top and bottom lip and then use my finger to rub the color in. The finish looks more natural and stays put for hours.
I was a bit surprised how much I liked this color on me. I was worried it was a bit too similar to my skin tone, but once I swatched it on, there was a little hint of pink in the shade that made it the perfect nude shade!
This is my favorite lip pencil (I actually wore it on my wedding day!) It’s my go-to neutral color and pulls any look together. I love that I can wear it just as is, or topped with a lip gloss.
This lipgloss goes so well with the Mac lip pencil! It’s a great neutral shade with a slight pink tint. It’s a little on the sticky side, but the color is a staple lip shade.
